COMMENTS
Was very happy to spend some of my hard-earned tix on PW's (I am a budget player) for the special Planeswalker Tribal last week, only to not be able to use them due to Suppression Field, apparently allowed in a Planeswalker tribal format. And of course, though it was a PW format, the PW aspect only mattered in one of my matches, as I proceeded to get run over by creatures like in any other tribal format in the other two matches, including one where I was Supp Fielded out of the game, and the other just a typical ho-hum Elf-spam beatdown.

The rationale of allowing a pseudo white Elderspell "light" in a PW format is lost on me, as getting beat down by creatures while I cannot activate my aforementioned PW's doesn't seem like it exists within the spirit of a "Planeswalker tribal" event.

Such is the peril of a special one-of format; not only is value wasted in buying cards that won't be used again (doubly so in my case - they were barely used even in that event itself), but it has no proper banlist to protect players from such nonsense. We thought of the black Elderspell, but not the white Elderspell; powered down but still admittedly strong. I have since learned better.
